Did you initially think the body trapped on the water wheel was Soleil?

I didn't think so. She seemed to be too big a part of the plotline to disappear without ever actually appearing in the story.

no I didn't - and was more certain of that when it was noted that although the hair and frame were similar but that Cabrillo never got a look at her face

Too easily written out of the story if it had been her - we hadn't even met her. Had to be someone else.

I didn't think it was her, didn't think she would be dead so early in the story. She seemed too central to the plot.
