How do you think the people in the helicopter knew they were there?

I thought John Smith had let them know.

I thought they'd been notified by Smith or his employer that they were at the temple - I think that's what he was doing when he disappeared at the bridge

Probably John Smith notified them.

John Smith probably either called them or he has a tracker and they always knew where he was.

I hadn't given it any thought.
