Should the Oregon have attacked the other ship with more devestating consequences?

Absolutely....they wouldn't hesitate to kill everyone aboard the Oregon.

no, they shouldn't have. had they taken stronger measures, it may have caused a diplomatic incident - as it is, there may be some fallout from their defensive actions.

I agree with Brenda. They could have overpowered them but I don't think they wanted to.

Actually I believe that >2 Olivermagnus: >3 bhabeck: & >4 EadieB: are all right. The other ship would not have hesitated to kill everyone on the Oregon and sink it...so they needed to aggressively defend so the other ship's captain would understand that he was out gunned and was fighting a loosing battle. Juan didn't have sanction from the United States any longer and if he had sunk the other ship and it caused an international incident he could have been charged with treason.

I don't know why they keep pulling their punches: they'd had a chance to blow away a lot of terrorists in the opening chapters, yet they shot high or wide... Why? Just shoot 'em!

>6 Sergeirocks: 😂 Although I am with you. They should have taken more ruthless action but it could have bought pressure to bear on them when they didn't want it.
