I'm wondering why Smith showed his hand by shooting out the rope bridge? He'd retrieved the bag (which is what he was after); it looked as though Soleil was dead, so there was no need to pursue the expedition any longer; so why not just carry on as normal? They could have got away from the soldiers and made it back to the Oregon - short flight back to Singapore for Smith: job done! Didn't make sense to me...

AND, why didn't Juan and Max work out that this pointed to Croissard specifically targeting the Corporation? That would have been the logical conclusion.

>2 Sergeirocks: Good questions. Maybe Smith had orders to either kill them after he got the bag or to make it easy for them to be captured. I don't think Croissard intended for them to ever get out alive.
