I think they can. If the bad guys have gotten his cooperation by threatening or taking his family...he didn't have much choice. If this is what happened there is no reason to think he wouldn't be just as protective of his friends.

I think Lawless is trustworthy. He was doing what he could to save his child...it wasn’t a direct attack on the Oregon and its crew. Especially now that they helped save Pauline, he’s in their debt

I've believed from the beginning that Lawless was going to join the crew so I'm going to say they somehow work it out.

It was clear he was wanted for the team but I wasn't sure I would have been able to trust him anymore he has already lied to them and put them in danger, no matter what the circumstances.
