Were you surprised at the use the crystals were put to?

no - I thought we might be heading that way

I found the whole crystal thing to be a bit confusing but an interesting plot line anyway.

I was surprised but it makes sense. Didn't know what crystals had to do with computers but I've heard the term in regards to watches.

Not really surprised - it was hardly likely to be a weapon, as the world proliferates with those anyway, so a supercomputer would probably be the next best guess. (Not that I did guess, :D)
