Were there any ways the book could have been improved?

I think John Smith's death was way too kind - he should have gone down in a hail of bullets or a nice big explosion :)

I thought the ending was too rushed but that's my usual criticism of this series. We spend 90% of the time setting up the story and then shortchange the ending.

The ending was a bit rushed...but endings usually are as a rule. That's really the only thing I can say "bad" about the book.

I agree with Brenda that John Smith should have been blown apart.

I'd have preferred it if some member of the team had vetoed Lawless as an ongoing security risk.
