Sandy didn’t read the letter he found, leaving It for Jimmy to read the letter. Are you surprised by this? Would you have read it?

I didn't see why he wouldn't have read it. That just played into Sandy's paranoia about his detective abilities. I though he was getting beyond this...but I guess not.

I'm not surprised - Sandy still doesn't see himself as a bona fide detective. I'd have read it if I were the detective on duty, and seeing as it was in my hand anyway...

I'm surprised he didn't read it. It seems like the natural thing to do in that situation but Sandy seems reluctant to get too involved in anything unless he's been told to. But I definitely would've read it.

I wasn't surprised Sandy didn't read it. He's not confident and probably felt like reading it would force him to make some sort of investigative leap.

Very surprised. I would have thought that a healthy dose of curiosity would be a basic trait in a police officer.

I would have read it and I am surprised that Sandy didn't read it too. But then we are dealing with Sandy and he is a little slow at times.

Surely natural curiosity would have made you read it. As a dertective even more so. His outlook does surprise me even now.
