John's attempt

I have come back to Library Thing after a long break. I don’t remember if there even was a talk section then. That said I do read a lot of books and I plan to use this challenge to keep track of them for a year. It will be an interesting project. To make it real I’m also going to do a review of each one I complete in my library catalogue. I’m not sure if I’ll mange to keep this updated. However, I am now fairly committed to getting all my books on to Library Thing and see what I actually have. I have many bookcases. I’ve already found a couple of unexpected duplicates. I can also see that using tags I should be able to co-locate similar books a lot easier. I now have the Cat scanner, which really helps speed up cataloguing the modern books with barcodes. So off I go….

Welcome! Nice start to the year. I haven’t read any Weber for quite a while. I should revisit at some point.

Good luck with your cataloguing, tracking and reading goals! Banks is the only one of those I've read, but I'm intrigued by the specificity of the Wool Merchants title.

Getting close to half way now. The hardest part is doing the reviews but I said I was going to do them too.

Done the 75. Due to a lack of thinking and writing time I have stopped the reviews a while ago. I'm doing the star rating of the stories.
