Any thoughts why Alison Teal would be on Shetland?

She may have followed someone to the Islands but the newest residents seems to be Tom Rogerson and his family. There may be a connection there but I don't see what it is.

I think it could have been some sort of scheme to defraud, but I have no idea what or why.

Since she had been there years before, it seemed like she came back because it was a place to get away from her troubles maybe.

I keep thinking about what the letter said. Seems to me that she came 15 years ago and met someone from the island and then kept meeting that someone when he would travel south. He remarked how beautiful she was and that they could have a wonderful future together. So my guess would be Tom. Then she came back under Sandy’s name and someone (Tom?) gave her the key to stay at Sandy’s house and pose as her.

No ideas coming to me just yet.

Was she there for some business proposition or involvement as the letter didn’t seem too romantic!
