What did you make of Kathryn’s relationship with Andy? At the time did you think this was significant?

Kathryn was a young teacher and she was flattered with Andy's attention to her but she needs to keep her boundaries of a student/teacher relationship because the way she acts towards Andy could do him harm if it goes beyond that relationship.

I think Andy had a crush on Kathryn and she liked that attention. She was nice enough to him but she wasn't going to get involved with him. But at first I thought there might be a connection here to the murders somehow.

I think Kathryn liked the attention at the time, but now is more cognizant of the inappropriate way it would look.

Why should a relationship between the two be inappropriate? She’s six years older. She was never his teacher. But I don’t think theirs was that kind of relationship. More hero worship and love of attention.

I have to go with >5 sushicat: on this. Now if Andy is under 18..which we were led to believe he's not...it might be a different story.

It did seem odd, especially with a six year gap between them as they were growing up.
