Did you know about the antipopes? If so, how?

I did know about them because we had religion history classes where we learned a lot about the early church.

I've heard about them but didn't know any specifics.

Oh yes. >2 EadieB: We must have had the same class. I used to even be able to name a couple...but then my brain is full of useless information. That's why I can win at Trivial Pursuit:) (except for the sports categories)

I learnt about them through various historical fiction books, but wasn’t aware there was such a long period that they were away from Rome. Very interesting times!

I couldn't give chapter and verse, but I've read about them in several fictional books of this ilk recently.

I hadn't heard of them before. A lot of the Catholic church history is new to me (other than The Crusades and The Inquisition)
