Why do you think Grayson and his team were attacked in the church?

I think the Guild wanted to kill all the people who witnessed or were involved with the missing bones.

I think they want all witnesses killed.

Getting rid of the witnesses.

To get rid of witnesses and evidence.

Two-fold: clean up the scene, and take out the opposition, all in one fell swoop.

I think there's a leak - either at the vatican or on the Sigma side. The Dragon Court knew the team was there and would be able to take them out as well as removing any last bits of evidence in the church
