Any thoughts about the significance of the Chinese coin or fen that Gray found and picked up?

I think the Chinese coin was a sign that Seichan, the Dragon Lady, had been there before them.

I think it was just her way of letting Gray know she knew where he'd been hiding. She wants him to know how clever she is, and that he'll get nothing past her.
