What was your reaction when Painter appeared? Had you expected him to appear?

It didn't really surprise me - he had gone missing so it was a possibility that he was headed to Europe to help his team

After he went missing I knew he would show up in Avignon.

He had to have been going to help out. He can't stand to be apart from the action.

I was quite blasé about this - I knew he was on his way to Avignon.

I was pretty sure he was chomping at the bit to get into the action at Avignon.
