Were there any ways in which the book could have been improved?

some of the theological discussion was pretty dry as was some of the physics. Rollins did well to have Vigor and Rachel give it some life but that could have been a bit shorter.

Some of the action scenes were too long for me.

I was lost on the physics and the technical stuff not to mention that I'm horrible at riddles. I agree with >3 EadieB:. The action scenes go on way too long. Clive Cussler is guilty of that also.

There could have been a few more surprises - some of the reveals were predictable, IMO.

The action scenes were a little too long and some of the physics points were not interesting to me, but overall not much to complain about.
