I've just found myself in the most horrible situation, that of not having a book to read on the train tomorrow morning. Finished The Visible World this weekend, it's highly recommended, don't be put off by the Richard & Judy Bookclub sticker on the cover. It's a lush rendering of immigrant memoir, family secrets & a tragic war-torn love affair. Hope to grab a copy of Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates on the way to work. Guess I'll just have to make do with a Metro on the train.

Oh! I want to read Revolutionary Road, too!

I still haven't got a copy but I have read The Easter Parade. It's very absorbing but I wasn't quite sure what to make of the ending, it was rather unexpected, a bit odd even. Currently reading Animal's People, shortlisted for the Booker prize, it seems promising so far, transporting me into the heart of impoverished Indian society.
