One of the Best Preserved Ancient Copies of The Iliad Has Been Digitized




A 2nd century manuscript on papyrus in The British Library known as The Bankes Homer (P. Lond. Lit. 28; TM 60500) has been digitized.
The manuscript is incomplete and preserves the end (lines 127-804 ) of chapter 24 and includes a colophon at the end.
