Should Will have tried to contact his mother after he left home?

I think she left home before he did and I don't think he knows where she is.

I think Will knows at heart that his mother deserted him. Knowing it and admitting it to himself, however, are two different things.

I didn't think he ever found out where she had gone. He probably didn't feel that he wanted any contact with her. He was hurt that she had abandoned him and he had dear old Dad to contend with.

He sounds better off without either of them.

If he really wanted t ofind her I’m sure he would have found her, so most probably didn’t want to find her as she had deserted him!
