That's a nice reprint, but there are several others that need it more than this one.

I like how the breadcrumbs show that the above link belongs to the Coffee Table Book section and not the Tolkien section of the website. (Hint, Mole...please fix!)

I think I have this one already. Oh well...

What a nice surprise, thank you for the heads up. I hope they decide to reprint some others: Tales From the Perilous Realm, The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun, and Letters from Father Christmas to be specific :)

Thanks for the heads up. Grabbed it.

I collect and have most of Tolkien's books, but am not interested in this style of text EP uses on this title and that's why I haven't purchased the Hobbit or Lord of The Rings. Enjoy!

>6 Tolkienfan: I'm curious, what do you mean by "style of text"?

Wonder if I should buy two for posterity....

>7 Eastoner: I guess I should have stated the font style and design on the cover and spine.

An interesting billing discrepancy on this title.

Count yourself lucky. They sometimes mess up when a title is initially offered, but they will honor the error if you ordered when they originally had it listed. I once got a payment off of a DLE since they had a similar error at the time. They now have Children of Hurin corrected, since I just paid full price.

I have also had issues with billing on Children of Hurin ... Instead of three payments of $37, my bill shows two payments of $55.50 ... I don't have a problem with two payments instead of three, but called to make sure I would not be charged three payments of $55.50. They told me they have no idea how it billed like that, but assured me I would only pay two payments at that price and not three.

I got the same $90 deal. Nice.

I can't view any history in my online history. I can log into the site, place an order, and then immediately try to go confirm that order and it will say "We're sorry, but we can't find any order history for this account..." I still get the books, but the site only briefly ever worked for me for viewing history.

Try a different browser to see if you've just got some garbled cached data or script blocking interfering with the site. Mine still works.

Hmmm, I did pay at once, so mine shows as $111.

Also shows shipped Wednesday, estimated delivery next week.

>20 treereader:, nice thought, but still doesn't work. I have both Chrome and IE, both signed into my account, but both with different contents in my shopping cart. I have a feeling it has to do with having a couple of different online profiles. I know that the mailing lists I have tried to have consolidated (unsuccessfully), but after almost 30 year's of ordering, they have too many versions of me around.

Got my copy this week. It's the "newer" style leather, absolutely different from all the other Tolkien's I have. Disappointing for sure.

Hmm.....I got mine yesterday, really don't how to explain this but the long side of the side pages is like divided in sections, instead of a smooth sideline it has the appearance of steps. Every step is related to their "page block/section". So instead of a smooth gilded side, it's uneven and one can even see the white inside papers when the book is closed. Does that make any sense?
>23 GuyEP18: is the long side page of your book smooth or like divided into steps?

>24 Love2Read.:. I can't explain it any better than you, however I'm aware of what you're speaking of. I've seen it before on some of my books but I've never been too concerned. On my copy of Hurin, it is present but hardly noticeable to me.

J R R TOLKIENS THE CHILDREN OF HÚRIN has dropped off the Tolkien List as of 2/4/2019, or I think this was the volume that has disappeared today.
