Mississippi "Local" not returning Mississippi

Hey folks-- New here so maybe I'm missing something but I entered my town & state as my private address, and my state-- Mississippi-- as my public address. The "local" results are from all over the US and beyond. I expected returns of nearby folks, groups, stores, etc. What have I missed?

Is it possible that your settings are too broad or not set at all?
Go to Settings, LibraryThing Local, Local Settings and edit the Search radius to however many miles you want.
