Okay, I'm kvelling.

On Yahoo this past week: Chabon has sold rights to Yiddish Policemen's Union to the Coen Brothers! What a movie that will be...

Just wanted to share.

Holy cats! That'll be worth seeing. And the final straw that gets me to read the book, too. My wife's read it and loved it. Now I'll definitely have to read it before the movie comes out!

rocket- i totally agree- once you have seen the movie its tough to read the book...Yiddish Policemen move to the top of the to read pile.

Now I'll start to obsess over who I think they'll get to portray the various characters...

I wish someone would make a Kavalier and Clay film version. I guess some sort of screenplay has been in the works for a few years now - not sure what the current situation is...

The movie Kavalier and Clay has a scheduled 2009 release date. It was classified as being "in pre- production" as of 10/2007.

Yeah, I found that, too, after my last posting. I guess the screenplay has been knocked around for years - pretty much since the book came out.
