My wife has intimated she'd like a copy of Cassandra Darke by Posy Simmonds for Christmas.
We're only familiar with her from occasional serializations of her work in the Guardian newspaper. What would folks recommend as a companion piece to Cassandra Drake?

I'd go for Gemma Bovery. Still my fave of hers.

Many thanks for the recommendation. Cassandra Darke was a success, and while Gemma Bovery arrived too late for Christmas, it also was well received. Mrs Weber's diary less so; perhaps it hasn't aged so well.
