Hello everyone,
This is Yoona, again participating in 75 Books Challenge! I can't believe it's 2019 already. I hope to read 75+ books this year since I have more free time since I'm taking a leave of absence from grad school this year.
I probably wouldn't be able to update much since I don't have an adapter to my laptop yet but once I do, I'll try to update my thread regularly.

1. Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
rate: ***
I started the first book of the trilogy last year and now it's time to finish it before I forget too much of what happened in the first book. I do love good fantasy reads but I haven't enjoyed this one as well as some of the others that I've read.

I might read all the Miss Marple series this year. I'm hooked!
5. Doctor Pascal by Emile Zola
rate *** 1/2
Finally read the last volume of the Rougon-Macquart series.
I think Zola is a great writer but I don't think this is his one of better works in this series.
I was almost afraid to read this book since I liked how Dr. Pascal was portrayed in other books.
After reading this, I still like him!

Having a ghastly headache (and dizziness) definitely hinders with my reading.
I'm seeing a neurologist next month so hopefully I'll find out the reason quite soon

*non-fiction
Found a copy at the library and read it. As it's always the case when reading about WWII (I can sympathize very well since it took decades for my hometown survived the Japanese attacks and get liberated from Japan), I became very emotional.
Overall, I enjoyed it though there are some parts where I felt that the writer got lost in her train of thought or some sentences felt a bit unnatural to me for some reason (not that I speak English fluently enough to critique writers or editors).
