Most know about how the Vikings had extensive trade routes/relationships in Europe and the Middle East demonstrated by the finds of Islamic Coins (and other materials) found in various Viking era hordes in Russia, England and other places. Newer evidence shows trade was much more expansive than previously ever imagined and began much, much earlier.
