Ha! Darn it, I missed prank day. (I’m kidding - I’ve never been a big fan of April Fool’s pranking).
I’m about halfway through The Weatherman by Jody LeHeup, centering around a TV weatherman who may be involved in the end of the world. Pretty good so far.

My April reading list is Sleepless, Vol. 1 and 2 by Sarah Vaughn and a pair of very different graphic memoirs: Rx: A Graphic Memoir by Rachel Lindsay and Not the Israel My Parents Promised Me by Harvey Pekar.

I've finished Le Rapport De Brodeck and... what a punch in the guts! It takes place right after the WWII and deals with human nature and its shadowy places. Manu Larcenet has a chiaroscuro art that equals the density of Philippe Claudel's book.
Highly recommended for those who liked Maus.

I have seen an ad in Amazon for a pre-order of a book called Road to Watchmen: The Question & Blue Beetle (Road to Watchmen: Rorschach & Nite Owl), which made me think about cash-grabbing and gimmicks.
While it is great to see a reprint of Ditko's Charlton Comics in these days, the need of its association with Watchmen leaves bitter taste. It is almost an inner joke due to the fact that Dick Giordano did not allowed Alan Moore using the Charlton characters in the said book, which Giordano regreted years later.
Or maybe I think that I am only getting old.

I've finished Mister Miracle by Tom King and Mitch Gerads and... (phew)... what a ride. We have a deep journey in the essence of the character and the Fourth World as originally conceived by Kirby. There is a lot of metaliguistics that add a flavour for the old fans but do not disturb the reading of new ones.
Highly recommended for Fourth World fans and those who liked The Vision.

Jessica Jones: Purple Daughter is excellent. Bendis isn't the only one who can write great stories with the character he created.
Speaking of Bendis, I'm happy that his Pearl (art by Jessica Jones co-creator Michael Gaydos) is an ongoing monthly.
