I've been failing to keep up with my book thread but I just wanted to mention Leviathan Wakes which I recently finished. I had been looking forward to a good space opera but I wasn't expecting zombies in space. I could suspend my belief about the physics, but the biology was just too much of a stretch, so I won't be continuing this series.

>1 jjwilson61: Thanks for the warning. I've been thinking about reading something by Corey, who keeps popping up in my recommendations. I'll definitely stay away from that book/series. Zombies is very much not my thing.

I was put off continuing with the series because I couldn't stand the character of Holden. He was such a self-righteous prig that he set my teeth on edge every scene he was in - which was at least half of the book!

I didn't start a 2020 thread, but I wanted to mention that my county library system has finally reopened for curbside pickup, whatever that entails. I've put Revenant Gun and The Origin of Language on hold and I'll figure it out when they come in. It

>4 jjwilson61: Oh, I love Yoon Ha Lee! IMHO Revenant gun wasn't as strong as the previous two in the trilogy, but still absolutely worth it.

I just hope that I remember enough of the previous books for it to make sense to me.

As I remember it the story makes a timeline jump forward in Revenant Gun, which makes it a bit hard to get a grip on the continuity anyway.
