Finland's Yle radio axes Latin news show after 30 years service

The last bulletin announced the Latin programme "post ferias aestivas non continuabuntur".

The strong position Latin has had in Finland dates back to the 19th century when it was argued that it should be promoted so that the scientific community shouldn't have to choose between Finnish and Swedish.
