Hi guys!

It's been about 2 years since I last posted. I found that I was reading books just to keep my book count up and thought that I should be doing something else with my time. So I did - computer games!!!! This was not a valuable use of my time, so I'm going to try reading again. I hadn't given it up completely as I belong to 2 book clubs, but I'm going to start reading because I want to, not because I have to. Now, I've got to start cataloging what I've read this year!

Welcome back, Lois.
I too was unhappy feeling compelled to read books to make up the correct number. RL also intervened and cut down my reading time. The result is that I've given myself permission to read what I can as I can and not be bothered by it. (Myself is trying to deal with this.) Unfortunately, I also play computer games - a real timesink but so addictive.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing what you have been into.

LizzieD,

Thanks for the welcome. I so want reading to be an escape, not a task. And, I don't consider myself to be really competitive, but . . .

I'm fortunate that I am retired, so I have plenty of time to do what I want to do, and I live in a 55+ community with plenty of activities to keep me busy if I so choose, but those computer games keep calling my name!
