Litsy account settings

I wandered over to my account settings in Litsy (on my iMac) and noticed it asked if I'm an EU citizen or resident. What is the reason for that?

Probably to do with GDPR, the new EU privacy/data protection law.

>2 Watry: Bingo. GDPR dictates that things like emailed newsletters must be opt-in (rather than opt-out via unsubscribing). If you indicate that you're in the EU, you won't automatically be subscribed to Litsy newsletters.
