Can't find a group to just ask about books but this one fits the genre I'm looking for I believe.
I'm interested in books talking about procedures to adopt in case s**t hits the fan. Doesn't need to be totally apocalyptic and I'm not looking for SAS Survival (what to store on the bag, etc).
Imagine your neighborhood is in a warzone, hurricane, anything agitated and you need to organize quickly socially, assign tasks, select people for roles and maintain structure. Order. Maybe even defense of your community's territory.
What books would you recommend that possess the knowledge of this more psychological/social/logistics aspect? Books that cover specifically attitudes to adopt facing disaster.
Best regards to all

Making Home: Adapting Our Homes and Our Lives to Settle in Place. Sharon Astyk is wise and measured. She considers temporary and longer term disruptions and discusses community thriving rather than individual or family survival.

When Disaster Strikes: A Comprehensive Guide for Emergency Planning and Crisis Survival (https://www.librarything.com/work/11817835) and When Technology Fails (https://www.librarything.com/work/158927) both by Matthew Stein are really good intro books. They don't go into so much detail that you get overwhelmed, but they cover the basics to get you started on pretty much anything you can think of. I really enjoyed reading them, even as I hope I never have to use them.
