What did you think was going to happen to planes the following day?

The only thing I could think of was mass loss of power and all falling from the sky. (Some sort of dastardly laser beam from somewhere!)

Probably the same thing that happened to Lyla's plane.

Anything that used micro-chips was going to stop working so planes wouldn't even be able to take off.
