Mallik was looking to save the human race. Did his actions reflect this?

I didn't think the use of nerve agents, etc. pointed towards a benign character, I must admit. Maybe he believes the ends justify the means.

Shooting his satellite was not a good thing but he's one of the Nine Unknown so we will have to see what he is up to in the future.

Nothing said the Nine Unknown were benign or that they had mankind's survival at the forefront of their agenda.. I think one of them wants to be the ONLY one with the scrolls. Tyrants always believe that the end justifies the means. Look what Hitler did without batting an eye.

it seems that his way of saving the human race is to cut down on its number and to put himself in charge of those left.
