What did you initially think ‘launch is a go’ meant? Launch what? For what purpose?

Sorry, again no ideas from me.

Mallik was trying to launch a major rocket that would do a lot of harm.

He was planning to launch a rocket. Rather it was a test or the real deal...I don't know. Diego Garcia base was the target at any rate. I think if this was successful he planned something much worse to follow.

I thought it might be a test to make sure the next one would destroy something even bigger.

Presumably looking to launch a rocket that would carry the nerve agent.
