Any thoughts on how, or why, the aeroplane was on the island?

I think it was the plane that Lyla was on.

It was Lyla's plane. Seems the bad guys now have an entire group of top people at their disposal.

Had to be the 'plane from the opening chapters. I assumed they'd rigged up some sort of landing strip to get it onto the island.
I'm just glad we've eventually found out the significance of the hijacking scene.

Agree, had to be the missing plane. Sounds quite difficult to get it on the island without a runway strip.
