Did they have any other options than taking Lyla on the rescue mission?

Yes, they could have insisted she stay away from the dangers of their incursion, but that would not have been so interesting for the story.

For her own safety...no But...they couldn't leave her alone and unguarded while they went to recuse the others....They didn't have anywhere or the time to take her off of the island...she knew the layout of the building and where the other hostages were being held...They were all going to die anyway if they didn't get to moving...so I didn't see taking her with them would make much difference in the long run.

They could have left her but she would have been by herself as they didn't have the manpower to spare to protect her while she was out of sight. By taking her along, they were able to get real-time intel on locations, etc as well as to convince the other prisoners that the rescue was real.

It was best to take Lyla with them so they could keep an eye on her.

I thought she made a good point about the prisoners trusting them more once she explained what was going on.
