Any thoughts on the fail safe systems?

I think the "pause" by Chen was pretty telling. Obviously the fact that they had to disable a portion of the fail safe is now going to be an issue when it comes time to stop the computer. However, the idea of having the fail safes on each ship and disconnected from the network was well thought out but they are still linked to each other and the connection can therefore be compromised or disabled.

If AI is involved, I wouldn't put my trusts in a fail-safe...!

If the artificial intelligence is so smart there's probably no fail safe that's going to be safe enough.
