Ever heard of biocomputers?

I have but only on Star Trek :) The starships are run on plasma cells

I've heard of them, but couldn't say whether they're fact or fiction.
Another scary concept, IMO.

When I looked it up for clarification I found out the first biocomputer made from living human cells that use logic to solve problems was made by a team of researchers in Zurich.
