Well, not that this group is getting much use (alas) but Woman in Black & Bierce are now sold.

You may have had more use of it if you had ever shown up in this group for something different from trying to sell/trade your books.

Yes, I know you are active elsewhere. But this post being your first here is a bit on the nose. Just saying. :)

All, someone I know very well has the CP Elric books available! I believe, it's the first three (have to check if he also has the fourth title). If anyone is interested, please let me know quickly. These won't last long, and considering the value, please no low-ball offers. Yes, pics will be available :)

Is The Adventures of Samurai Cat the Set of 5 books in slipcase?

What do you usually trade?

Books still available for trade. I also have a few other CP titles that are NOT technically for trade (I'm not going to list them), but I would trade them for the Elric books.

I know someone that has a copy of the Suntup Press

The Road with the Broadside available.

Thought I'd let people know.

>20 astropi: Are you on Facebook? Several of those titles- the Brunner books, Kane, Samurai Cat- are in pretty high demand on the Centipede Press group. You may have some luck there.

Amusing is probably the best way to describe it - I had Samurai Cat for sale for a LONG time... finally someone contacted me and the set has found a happy home! Of course, right after it was gone, someone emailed me all desperate saying they "have to find a copy" - my response - good luck!! I think over the years I only saw two copies for sale. Anyway, point is, sometimes it is worth splurging on something. Speaking of which, my trade list is above, and I am willing to splurge on a copy of CP Elric if anyone has a copy for trade...

26astropi
Mar 24, 2022, 5:22 pm

Just a bump, my priority is to find Elric books - if anyone has any let me know, I will trade well for them.

27astropi
May 16, 2022, 5:52 pm

I also have a brand new unsigned copy of

Stormbringer

for trade. I am interested in any other Elric novels, signed or unsigned. If you're interested in trading please let me know. I know that signed copies are worth substantially more than unsigned, so if you have any signed copies of Elric for trade let me know, I'll make sure it's worth your while. Thank you :)

>29 astropi:

Do you ever keep any of your books or do you just cycle them all out after you’ve read them?

31astropi
Edited: Jan 19, 2023, 9:16 pm

>30 treereader: I keep the ones that are "special" to me. Otherwise, if I feel I won't ever read it again, or even bother with the book, I would rather that book go to someone that will really enjoy it as opposed to having it sit on my shelf just collecting dust. All that said, there have been a few occasions when I regretted letting a book go - but by in large, I can tell when a book is a keeper for me or when it needs to find a new loving home.

I am looking for a copy of signed hardcover of Speak to me of Death from CP Woolrich series. If you have a lead, it would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I'm selling some of my collection to help pay for my cat's week long stint at the vet. Right now I have:

-Alice Walks SOLD
-The Bestiary
-Paperback set of Centipede's first Cornell Woolrich run (Speak to me of Death, I Married a Dead Man, Deadline at Dawn, Dark Melody of Madness, Phantom Lady)
-Houses Under the Sea
-What the Doctor Ordered

I have pictures of all of these available, if you're interested in any of them send me a message!

(I hope it's ok to hijack this thread. If not, apologies!)

I'm kind of looking for "Nifft the Lean", right now to gauge what the prices for these are, if there are people willing to let their books go etc.

I think most copies I’ve seen listed for sale over the past year have been in the neighborhood of $300. It hasn’t been terribly rare to see copies around. Best of luck!

Good time for me to update, a lot of books I previously listed have found new happy homes! Here is my current trade list --

Centipede Press:
The Complete Kane (5 books)
Cornell Woolrich: I married A Dead Man
The Fog
The Sheep Look Up
Stand on Zanzibar
The Werewolf of Paris

Folio Society:
Jaws
The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana -- LE

Suntup Press:
Horns (Numbered)
Johnny Got His Gun (AE)
Rosemary's Baby (Numbered)
The Road (Numbered)
Starship Troopers (Numbered)

Wandering Star Press:
The Ultimate Triumph -- The Heroic Fantasy of Robert E Howard (Limited Edition)

Just thought I'd ask again - I'm still looking for "Nifft the Lean".
Please, message me if you're looking to sell any of these.

edit: I also have a copy of Mines of Behemoth with small bindery damage (slightly creased pages in one place, tiny mark on the dust jacket) that I'd be happy to trade or let go for under retail price.
I'm still looking for the first Nifft book, because most people selling them on eBay do so as a bundle with Mines, which I don't need.
edit 01/2026: Yep, still looking for Nifft, still have Mines for sale.

One book I'd really like to get hold of is Fritz Leiber's Conjure Wife. Though I probably wouldn't be able to afford it. Still, it's always worth asking.....

Hi all, I'm selling the following Centipede titles (U.S. buyers only, sorry!). Plenty of pics available, send me a PM with any questions. Unless otherwise noted these are all new books.

-The Sheep Look Up by John Brunner (#54)

-Stand on Zanzibar by John Brunner (#100; signed by John Brunner; sticker damage to cover)

-The Anubis Gates by Tim Powers (unsigned/ unnumbered copy; the lock design on the slipcase doesn't match up perfectly but that's about the only flaw)

-Stefan Grabinski Masters of the Weird Tale (roman numeral copy XX)

-After Such Knowledge quartet by James Blish (set of 4 books, all #115)

-Where the Summer Ends / Walk on the Wild Side by Karl Edward Wagner (set of 2 books)

-The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson (unsigned/ unnumbered standard edition)

-Our Lady of Pain by John Blackburn
