I decided to start sewing hexagons together again. This time various animals in rosettes. Many of the animal prints I have look like they were designed for children, so I'm thinking in that direction.

I'm using consistent centres. Mini woodland plants and animals on navy blue, or on aqua if the background of the print is dark. Turns out most of the prints on dark I have are elephants, so I will have to buy some cloth. Actually I need to really search to use up as much stash as possible, but I want variety, too, so I guess I'll have to visit the fabric stores. Both here and on our trip to England. Don't you feel sorry for me?

For between the rosettes I found a giraffe skin fabric which I really like. For the back I'm thinking that since this is a child's quilt, I want to buy a couple of play base panels. I think I can get a road one and an airport one. Around these I can piece various animal skin fabrics.
