aspirit Lists Their Unschooling Materials

Hello! My family is unschooling for the first time. We attempted to homeschool last year with an online public school that is supposed that was so intense, the online curriculum left little room for self-direction (or scheduling anything else). This year is more relaxed for us.

It's slightly too relaxed. I keep track of activities with daily notes. However, those notes haven't been organized so that I can see at a glance what we've covered. While I work out a system for that, I'd like to bring together the books and videos we use in studies. What I'd like to do is post lists in this thread. Okay...?

Below is a subject guide so I can figure out how to group materials.

Reading
Recognizing sight words. Using graphic organizers, grammar, text and genre clues to glean information, and summarization. Practicing retelling. Identifying suffixes and prefixes. Practicing outcome prediction, self-correction, and using a dictionary.

Writing
Creating coherent sentences.
Choosing between interrogatory, statement, and exclamatory sentences.
Completing a descriptive piece of writing. ("Tell me more about that.")

Science
Life cycles.
Body parts and functions.
Elementary medicine and health.
Solar system.
Weather prediction and tracking.

Social Studies
Building friendship skills.
Structures of families, neighborhoods, communities.
Types of government.
