Heffernan seems convinced the body is Jock Pallister. Any thoughts?

Poor old Heffernan is barking up the wrong tree! 😀
He desperately wants Jock's body to turn up in the Longhouse Cottage's grounds.

Given the height I didn’t see how he could think it was still Jock! I think we might find Jock however before the book is over.

I think he was pushing his theory because it was convenient. Mystery solved, arrest the wife, have a drink.

he's annoying me again - trying to make the facts fit his theory. he did that in the last book too

Heffernan is definitely trying to close the case quickly.

He wants it to be Jack and he wants to blame Jack's wife.
