Any initial thoughts about the job Sam Heffernan was phoning about, that he wanted to keep from his dad?

My mind boggles! I've not the slightest idea what he could be considering that will give plenty of money and that his dad might not like.
It's a tourist area. Might one of the local pubs/clubs be advertising for hunky male dancers...?

I thought he might be part of the gang that is robbing the farms. Something illegal that he doesn't want his dad to know about.

I was thinking it could be either 1) getting a job on a fishing boat or 2) something to do with the police. I briefly considered the merchant marine but thought that commitment was too long for what he might be looking for.

I like the idea of a male dancer in a club.
