Any thoughts on Laurence Proudy?

No. I can't remember coming across his name until later on in the section when Rachel actually met him at the farm. Is there more to him than simply a minor prang between his car and Ingeborg's?

At first I wondered if the woman with him was Ingrid, but when we met her that seemed to be dispelled. Possible suspect, but unlikely.

I wonder if he's the requisite "red herring". It doesn't seem like a small car accident would cause him to kidnap her.

>4 Olivermagnus: agreed. I think he's just a hostile, creepy dude that we're supposed to suspect

I suppose that he is yet another red herring.

He's a guest at Tracy's families inn or what ever they run. I don't know how to tie him into anything yet or if at all. Could be the token red herring. There are a lot of characters in this story and the scenes keep changing...I boggles my poor mind. Of course it doesn't take much:)
