I thought he was doing something criminal but I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe just something embarrassing that he doesn't want his father to know about.

I though he might have just been going by "public relations" but was going to find out that it was criminal after he got there.

I agree with >3 Sergeirocks: as he was going to someone who was celebrating her 21st birthday and he was probably going to dance for her. lol
