What do you think Rachel should do about her mother and Dave?

She should be honest with both of them

As long as she's honest with Dave about where the relationship is going, then her mother will eventually get the message that Rachel is not yet ready for marriage.

I don't think her mother would even hear her. She's been trying to tell her. As long as she and Dave are on the same page, things should be fine.

Rachel might as well save her breath as far as her mother is concerned. That boat has sailed and she's not paying any attention to Rachel. Now that she's knows that Wesley isn't interested maybe she'll take another look at Dave.

She should just tell Dave that she is not interested in marriage right now. Tell him what her mother has been up to so Dave will know what is going on.
