Any thoughts of the confession Dan Wexer wanted to make? A genuine confession or was he covering for someone? Also what did he want to confess to?

I thought he was telling the truth about "killing" his father. It wasn't premeditated - he just took advantage of the situation and didn't help his father when he was thrown off balance on the baler.

In his mind he had killed his father.

It certainly wasn't premeditated murder. I think it was a tragic accident and if he had any idea his father could be killed, he would have helped him get his balance.

I think it was a matter of guilt with Dan. His father died from a baler accident.

I didn't think he was confessing to cover for anyone else. But, then again, I didn't see what he wanted to confess to.
I didn't think his old girlfriend was Ingeborg - I thought it had been a completely different au pair - so to my mind Wexer would have had no need to abduct Ingeborg.
