Were there any ways in which the book could have been improved?

there were a lot of characters and a lot of side stories which I think a lot of people have trouble keeping track of so maybe a bit more precision
I get really annoyed with both Heffernan and Pam. She was better this book; he was worse than previously

I can't understand how Heffernan got the position that he holds. Did they draw names out of a hat? I guess old Steve is going to plow his way thought all the books so I'm just waiting for him to get his "just deserves". That will be the best part of whatever book that happens in. I thought the side story about Sam was good and I'm glad his Dad didn't have a cow when he found out.

I actually liked it just the way it was. It's my favorite of the series.

I also thought the book was good as is.

I can't think of any way I'd want to change the story.
