This thread is for you to post your covers for the February 2020 TIOLI challenge:
#3: Read a book with a cover which shows something you can wear on your face
1. Your cover does not have to show a face; one showing loose items that fit the parameters, such as glasses or a lipstick, would qualify. However, if you wanted to use (for e.g.) a tattoo, you would have to show that it is a facial tattoo.
2. I will not accept hats, unless the hat has a veil.
3. I will not accept hair; I will accept a moustache, beard or sideburns.
4. I will accept earrings, just 'cos; but not necklaces.
5. I will accept scars, but as with #1 you would need to show the face.

I have two books that qualify for this challenge:

Paris in Love by Eloisa James - glasses

My Life on a Plate by India Knight - lipstick

In the Frame by Dick Francis
It doesn't show up really well in the image, but the riders are all wearing goggles. They are best visible on the rider with the red helmet on the left.

I read a number of hockey books. How about a cover with a hockey goalie's mask, covering his face? Or else, how about a cover with a hockey player wearing a helmet, with a visor covering the top half of his face?

>6 lyzard: Thank you. Now I need to decide which one.

Earrings! which are allowed
I devoured this book today.

My book for this challenge is The Spectacles Of Mr Cagliostro by Harry Stephen Keeler; though my borrowed copy is under its alternative title of The Blue Spectacles:

Sorry, I do not know how to display images. I am reading Lost Gutenberg, which has a picture on the cover of a gentleman (Edward Doheny) with very fine mustache in the upper right hand corner.

Thanks, Liz!

>10 lyzard:, >15 aspirit: weird! I could see the image when I first posted, but now I can’t. It is Queenie but I don’t know how to fix it, especially if it can sometimes be seen.

I can see >8 wandering_star: but not >9 raidergirl3: :D
For anyone who isn't sure, to post an image you use the greater-than and lesser-than signs as pointy brackets.
Between them you write:
img src="cover URL"
The cover URL can be accessed and copied by right-clicking on your image (copy image location).
To adjust the size of your image, put a space after the second inverted commas and then add (for instance) height=300
So between the pointy brackets, you will have something like:
img src="http://pics.cdn.librarything.com/picsizes/f0/62/f0624985e5d7a05597135467467444341587343.jpg" height=300
Sometimes the image needs to have an 'https' in the URL (sometimes not). Sometimes Amazon covers won't show regardless, and you have to use a member-uploaded cover, or re-save / re-upload an Amazon cover as a member-uploaded cover.
Can everyone see these two?---

Moustaches!

Very clearly...a mask!
Now let's see if I actually make it through this book. The Intro seems a bit over my head.

>21 katiekrug: and >22 lyzard: - Sadly, this was a DNF for me, so no credit for the clown nose :(

>23 SqueakyChu: Adding Black Skin, White Faces as a DNF as well. It was way over my head and not an engaging read. Too bad as it had a very high rating here on LT.
I'm going forward to try this one...

It looks as if the cover has a man wearing eyeglasses.

That's a pity, ladies, but don't stress about it. No guilt here either. :)
I hope your second pick works better for you, Madeline.
