Many academic libraries (especially those with rare book collections) often have exhibits; an example would be this one at the University of Notre Dame library.
Currently, the only way to input a longterm event like this would be as its own venue. However, it is clearly being hosted by an already existing venue.
At the moment, I'm leaning towards just entering the exhibit information in the description section for the existing venue, and perhaps adding events just to announce the first day of a new exhibit. Anyone have any thoughts on this matter?

There's been some discussion of this already (posts 40-44).
At this point, I'd probably enter it in the description, and wait to see what Tim comes up with.

Thanks for redirecting me. I'll admit I hadn't kept up with that particular thread. Yep, I'll think I'll just play the wait and see game.

>1 collsers: I would prefer to enter exhibitions and other events running more than one day as an event rather than treating it as a Fair/Festival venue. I've entered short term events (about 2 days) as two events (one for each day), but that is not practical for more. I'd rather see events have a beginning date and ending date. It would also have to remain active on the events list until the end date.
